Earth Defenders in Peru demand land titling and protection from narcotraffickers

In Peru, land defenders are under increasing attacks by narcotraffickers. At least nineteen Earth Defenders in Peru have been killed since the onset of COVID-19. The Peruvian Amazon has become a hotspot for coca farming, clandestine drug planes, and secret labs. Indigenous land defenders are demanding the government issue land titles to Indigenous communities and provide protection from invasions by traffickers.
