What is the American Dream?

We have been promised that if we work hard that one day we all can become wealthy.

But for most of us, that day will never come. No matter how hard we work to provide for ourselves and our families, we are still living paycheck to paycheck, we are still in massive debt. This isn’t because we did anything wrong, it’s because we were never meant to succeed financially. Everyday the wealthy few continue to get richer off of our labor.

CEOs continue to do everything in their power to maintain control. Fossil fuel companies designed the American transit system to ensure we couldn’t rely on public transit. They built highways and freeways through Black neighborhoods, displacing millions of people and families. They profit off our suffering.

One thing CEOs will never have though, is our power. The power of community, the power of Unions and people rising up. We must have the courage to keep fighting for our communities to see another day, and keep fighting to build a world that is designed for us by us.
